Fast on a phone, not just on your desk
Ι

What makes a site slow

The studio

Almost always the same three things, in the same order: images shipped at far larger dimensions than they are displayed at, scripts loaded that the page never uses, and a platform that adds its own weight before your content arrives.

Images sized for the screen modern formats, and a version per screen size, so a phone is not downloading a desktop photograph.

Scripts kept to what runs no framework shipped to a page that does not need one, no analytics bundle that weighs more than the content.

Fonts and styles that do not block text visible immediately rather than after a round trip to someone else's server.

Measured in a real browser on a phone viewport, over a real connection, because a score on a developer's laptop is not the experience a customer has.

Why it matters commercially

The difference

A slow page loses people before they read anything, and it loses them silently, so the owner sees no enquiry and no explanation. Phones on mobile data are where this bites hardest, which is exactly where most local searches happen.

It is also the cheapest improvement available on most existing sites, because the fix is usually configuration and asset handling rather than a rebuild.

Tell us what you are building and we will scope it, or look through the work first.

Who this suits

Good fit

Any site that feels slow on a phone, and any site built on a platform where the owner has lost track of what is loading.

Related: hosting, SEO foundations.
